The most important element of the Minergie-A standard is solar energy. The building’s solar potential is used to the full. We generate emission-free solar power.

Continuous energy check

During operation, permanent energy monitoring measures the hotel’s energy consumption and production. This forms the basis for the operational check and ensures that the positive energy balance is actually maintained.

Optimally insulated, airtight building envelope

The best energy is the energy you don’t need. The insulation of our building envelope not only ensures low energy losses and independence, but also protects against the summer heat.

Future-proof heat protection

To ensure thermal comfort in the building even as summers get hotter, the requirements for summer heat protection in Minergie-A buildings are four times higher than the standard. For you, this means you can enjoy your stay at Hotel Central even when temperatures outside are climbing.

Automatic air renewal

Controlled ventilation automatically ensures good indoor air quality around the clock and reduces pollutant and pollen levels indoors. Heat recovery from the exhaust air also reduces the heating requirement.

CO2-free in operation

This means that Hotel Central runs on 100% fossil-free energy – much of it from electricity we produce ourselves.

Minimising greenhouse gas emissions during construction

In highly efficient, fossil-free Minergie buildings, care is taken to keep greenhouse gas emissions to a minimum right from the construction stage. Even while building Hotel Central, we use resources responsibly and choose climate-friendly materials.
